This is a personal experience using FreeBSD with frequent digression to some of the applications it hosts. The purpose of this website is to share information as examples which may be useful to other users. Although more often, it is used as a convenient test-bed for developing answers to relevant questions on Stack Exchange.

Having used FreeBSD professionally since the late ’90s, for various projects from high-availability control systems to data centre applications, now retired, my time is divided between grandchildren, going to the ballet, and amongst other things, tinkering with technology.
